Research Associate
The Quantum Biology Laboratory (QBL) is seeking to hire a part-time research associate for a neurophysics simulation project that will begin in March 2023.
This remote appointment would be for one (1) year at ~20 hours per week with the QBL, at a monthly stipend commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate would have passed their PhD qualifying examinations (e.g., all but dissertation) and possess expertise in the physical sciences with some neuroscience or biological background. Desired qualifications include expertise in neurophysics, quantum biology, neurobiology, quantum optics, or photophysics, with computational experience in Chimera, PyMOL, or similar biomolecular modeling software and programming experience in Fortran, R, C, Python, etc. The candidate would be expected to work independently on research-related tasks, and also in collaboration with QBL postdocs or QBL-affiliated research associates.
The notional start date for this position is in March 2023. Position renewal after the first year will be based on satisfactory performance and continuation of project funding.
